¿FIB Benicassim o Summercase? Nosotros ya hemos decidido. No vamos a perdernos a Morrissey, Siouxie, My Bloody Valentine y a Cohen, por ver a los Sex Pistols, a Kim Deal o a Blondie. Preferimos FIB. Ahora bien, ¿Madrid o Benicassim? De perdidos al río, como si aun fuéramos adolescentes, Benicassim de jueves a domingo. Prometemos resistir.
Para irnos mentalizando y alejar toda sombra de duda, un ejemplo de lo que podríamos ver en Benicassim (también en el Saturday Night Fever Madrid), dos grandes, grandísimos, Morrissey y Siouxsie Sioux, a dúo.
El tema se llama “Interlude”, y fue grabado durante las sesiones del Vauxhall and I, para publicarse el 8 de agosto de 1994 bajo créditos “Morrissey & Siouxsie”, aunque fue originalmente cantada por Timi Yuro en los 60. Sin apenas promo por parte de ninguno de sus protagonistas, llegó al número 25 de las listas de singles británicas. No es de extrañar, la canción es preciosa.
“Interlude” fue el comienzo de la carrera en solitario de Siouxsie tras The Banshees. Por cierto, otra curiosidad, por lo que se os ocurra, nombres de ex baterías de Siouxie and The Banshees…
John Simon Ritchie, alias Sid Vicius (sí el de los Pistols del Summercase) y Robert Smith (sí el del morro gótico o gothic morror, las cancionzacas tristes y el cuerpo que se mueve como una palmera, suave, su, su, suave).
